RG4N call on citizens to join our Wal-Mart boycott

RG4N is marking the anniversary of Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton’s death by calling on more Austinites to join its citywide Wal-Mart boycott.

In addition to numerous residents and business owners in the Northcross area, several organizations have already formally endorsed RG4N's boycott, including: Austin Full Circle, Austin Central Labor Council, Central Austin Democrats, North By Northwest Democrats, and South Austin Democrats.

These organizations together represent more than 25,000 Austin households, indicating that RG4N’s concerns about good development and the importance of neighborhood involvement in planning are shared by Austinites across the city.

In his autobiography, Sam Walton: Made In America, the late billionaire included a promise that Wal-Mart would never force itself on a community that did not want it.

RG4N calls on Wal-Mart to honor the wishes of its founder.

RG4N will end the boycott of all Wal-Marts and Sam's Warehouses in Austin when a Wal-Mart Supercenter is no longer part of the Lincoln Property Company’s Northcross site plan.
