Oklahoma Teacher Cuts

This year Oklahoma is cutting funding to schools state wide and forcing schools to cut teachers. It was my understanding that a few years back when we voted for the Oklahoma Lottery that we were going to use a large portion of the profit to put towards education. They told us that teachers would get a raise and would meet the 6 state area teacher salary's. Well it didn't happen.

For example in Enid they are cutting 26 teaching positions due to state funding cutbacks. My mom is one of those teachers. They are cutting the elective classes first. Example being Computer(what my mom does) art, sports, etc.

I am appalled that we were lied to so that the state could use this money for something else. This was the only reason I voted for the lottery. Now they aren't even using it for its original purpose.
